I was raised in a family of animal lovers. I was taught to love, respect, and protect all animals. Like my father, I've always been a stray dog magnet. When our pack increased to six, including two 100 pounders, I found it necessary to intensify their training program. The results were not only better behavior, but also a closer bond with our dogs. It was such a joy to see them gain self-confidence and show off their new skills that I studied and became a professional trainer. When I was introduced to the clicker method of training, I wanted to share this amazing technique with all humans and canines. Thus was born Canine Complex. Through the training that we offer, my goal is to give you the tools you need to better communicate with your dogs so that you can extinguish undesirable behaviors and achieve the level of training that you desire.

After 27 years in ‘Corporate America', I gave up my ‘day job' in early 2003 to join Debbie full time at Canine Complex. Even after working as an Operations Vice President, working with canines is some of the most rewarding work I've ever done. Being entrusted with the responsibility of caring for, and training another person's pet is an obligation that I don't take lightly. From a boarding and day care perspective, my time spent on the park bench petting dogs is my favorite, because I know I am doing exactly what our clients want, i.e. giving their dogs a lot of individual attention.

Likewise, the training agenda at Canine Complex is not about preparing dogs for the competitive ring. We are all about providing you and your dog with the self-confidence and skills necessary to build a close and long lasting relationship. What better job satisfaction can one have than knowing that a family can have a great relationship with their pet, because of time we've spent with them.
