General



What are your hours of operation?  Dr. Stanton's clinic is open Monday thru Thursday 8am to 4pm and Friday 8am to 12pm.  Dr. Starkweather's clinic is open Monday thru Thursday 8am to 4pm, no clinic on Fridays.

Are your doctors board certified?  Yes, both physicians are certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

What is your no-show policy?  You must arrive within 20 minutes of your scheduled appointment.  Please call if you are unable to make your scheduled time.

Why cant I pick up my spouses/parents Prescription?  You can as long as we have concent from the patient documented.

 




Appointments



Do you treat neck or back pain?  No.  Unfortunately, our physicians have chosen not to treat those areas.

Do you know any doctor that will see me for my neck pain or back pain?  Yes.  Depending on your situation, you may need to see a chiropractor, a neurosurgeon or a pain specialist.  Dr. Richard Berkman is a neurosurgeon based out of Nashville but comes to our office every Wednesday.  His office number is 615-986-1256.  Dr. Damon Dozier is a pain management specialist who is located in Suite C of our facility.  His office number is 931-802-5515.

I've noticed other patients being called back before me, why?  We have multiple physicians and assistants who see patients on a daily basis.  More than likely, those patients are not being seen by your doctor.

What is the policy on seeing patients by appointment time?  All patients are seen according to appointment time and not check in time.

Do I have to fill out paperwork at every visit?  No.  However, you will be required to update your information once a year.  Also, you may be asked to fill out some information if you are being seen for a new problem since your last visit.

I had an appointment with the doctor, why isn't he here?  Our physicians are on-call with Gateway Hospital.  If for some reason, he is paged for an emergency situation, he may need to leave to assess the situation.

I do not want to see the Physician Assistant.  Can I request the doctor?  Yes.  You must request to see him at the time your appointment is made and it will be documented in your chart.





 

 

 




Medical Records



Is there a charge for copying my medical record?  Not for your 1st request.  However, if you request copying more than once, the fee is based on the number of pages to be copied.

How long do I have to wait to receive my records?  Generally we try to accomodate your request as soon as possible; however, it could take from 7-10 business days.

Why can't I get my spouses/parents medical records?  You are allowed to get those records only if the patient gives us concent to do so.








Billing



What insurances do you accept?  We accept all insurances including Americhoice and Amerigroup.  We do not accept liability cases.

What payment options do I have?  We accept cash, check or credit/debit card, Care Credit & ACH.

Can I make a payment over the phone?  Yes, but have your credit/debit card information available.

Is there a no-show fee?  Yes.  The fee is $25.00.  You must contact our office if you are unable to keep your appointment.  If you are charged a no-show fee, you will be required to pay this before you are seen for another appointment.
