U.S. Local Business Association’s Award Plaque Honors the Achievement

WASHINGTON D.C., March 20, 2009 -- For the second consecutive year, Bodyart By Dave has been selected for the 2009 Best of Matthews Award in the Tattoos & Piercing category by the U.S. Local Business Association (USLBA).

The USLBA "Best of Local Business" Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USLBA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.

Nationwide, only 1 in 70 (1.4%) 2008 Award recipients qualified as 2009 Award Winners. Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2009 USLBA Award Program focused on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the USLBA and data provided by third parties.

We are having a FREE Tattoo & Piercing day on July 12, 2009

from 12 - 5.  We will do a first come first served where numbers will be

distributed.  The free tattoo and piercings will have a $50.00 maximum. 

All participants MUST be 18

(no exceptions) to receive a tattoo or piercing. 

You can receive either a tattoo OR a piercing but not both. 

There will be vendors and food so please check back soon for updates.

Dave Sinard has so many tattoos on his body that he's lost count. So it might make sense that he's the owner of the newest tattoo shop on Monroe Road, BodyArt By Dave. With modern furniture and red-splashed walls adorned with simple art, his goal of providing "something upscale and nice" is evident. "I wanted people to come in and feel like they're at home," he says. "The stigma is that we're all rough people, but actually there are a lot of good people in this business." Sinard dubs his shop as "Charlotte's Best Body Art" because he "offers the best customer service. It's important to let people know we appreciate them for stopping by, customer or not."
