Q: What are your hours of operation?
A:
Monday – Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    Friday – 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
    Saturday – 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
    Sunday – 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Q: How do I get to your office?
A:
We are located on Birmingham's Southside, one block from Pepper Place. I-65 and Red Mountain Expressway will take you to Southside (exit University Blvd. off of I-65, exit 3rd/4th Ave. South off of Red Mountain Expressway.) We are located on 4th Ave. South, just past 29th Street, at 2930 4th Ave. South.

Q: Do you perform all types of dentistry?
A:
We do almost all types of dentistry at our office. We perform root canals, extractions, crowns, bridges, partials, dentures, cosmetic dentistry, clear orthodontic splints, periodontal treatment, teeth bleaching, restoration of implants, and of course, fillings and cleanings.

Q: Do you take my insurance?
A:
We take most dental insurances. We will verify your insurance prior to treatment if possible. You will only be required to pay the copay. However, we are not responsible for guaranteeing an insurance payment. The patient is responsible for any balance.

Q: How much do extractions cost?
A:
Simple extractions start at $98.00 and may go up upon the difficulty.

Q: Do you take children?
A:
Yes, we do. If actual dental work is necessary, and the young child is very apprehensive, we will refer out for the dental work and just take care of the cleaning.

Q: Do you perform Oral Surgery?
A:
We do perform oral surgery, including difficult extractions. Some cases are referred out for sedation.

Q: Do you do orthodontics?
A:
We do clear orthodontic trays (Invisalign style) for patients 16 years and older. Some cases are referred out.

Q: Do you take Medicare?
A:
No dentist in the United States takes Medicare. Medicare is a Federal Health Insurance program from people age 65 and older. Dental work is not covered by Medicare.

Q: Do you see same day emergencies?
A:
Yes. You may have to wait a bit on a busy day, but we are happy to see emergencies.

Q: Do you do cleanings on Saturdays?
A:
Yes. We do cleaning Monday – Saturday.

Q: Are your fees higher on weekends or holidays?
A:
No. Our fees are the same every day of the year. And we try hard to keep our fees affordable.

Q: Do you take Medicaid?
A:
Yes, we do. The patient must be 20 years old or younger.

Q: Do you have payment plans?
A:
No, but some cases involving two visits can be divided into two payments.

Q: Do you have nitrous gas?
A:
No, we use local anesthetics. In some cases we may offer oral sedatives.

Q: Can you just call in prescriptions for me until I see my regular dentist?
A:
No, that would be unwise to diagnose over the phone, and unlawful.

Q: Do you see Workman's Comp cases?
A:
Yes, we do. We work with the employer to take care of the paper work involved.
