How do I take care of my new garage door?
Basically, just keep it cleaned and oiled like any other fine piece of machinery. They can be cleaned with a mild detergent. Doors that are in coastal areas should be washed at least once a month.
How do I operate my garage door if there is a power outage or break?
Garage doors can be disengaged for manual operation. Most of them have a manual release handle, so just pull the cord and the door will be ready for manual use.
My garage door will not operate from the optional door control or the remote; what's wrong with it?
Make sure the opener has electrical power. You can also check to make sure there is no build up under the door such as ice or snow; this can cause the door to be frozen to the ground. Another reason could be that the springs are damaged.
My remote seems to have a short range. Why?
You may need to change the location of your remote; the visor is usually a good place. Check to be sure the antenna on the back panel of the opener extends fully downwards. It may be a good idea to check the battery also.
Our garage door opens and closes on its own, so what's the problem?
Check and make sure that all remote control buttons are in the off position. If that doesn't work, then remove the bell wire from the door control terminal and operate from the remote control only. If this solves the problem, the door may be damaged, or there may be a short on the wire between the door control and the opener.
My door won't open completely. What causes this?
1.There could be some obstruction in the door.
2.It could be out of balance or have faulty springs.
