PREVENTIVE CARE

A major emphasis of our practice is on the prevention of dental disease. We know that dental education, attention to home health care habits and regular cleanings and check ups can minimize the need for dental treatment.

COSMETIC AND RESTORATIVE PROCEDURES

You might be surprised what a more beautiful smile can do for you. Smile enhancement can create dramatic differences in your appearance and self-confidence. It can lead to professional advancement and enhancement of one's personal life. If you have chipped or discolored teeth your options may include composite bonding to flawed enamel, porcelain veneers, and porcelain crowns can close spaces, reshape, straighten, and permanently whiten teeth.

Zoom! Whitening and Sapphire Whitening Systems
We can brighten your smile with Zoom! and Sapphire whitening procedures, and renew your smile with tooth-colored restorations, porcelain crowns, and complete dental implant tooth replacement. In-Office Whitening System is a revolutionary tooth whitening procedure. It's safe, effective and fast - very fast. In just over an hour, your teeth will be dramatically whiter. Zoom! Whitening is ideal for anyone looking for immediate results. The convenience of Zoom! in comparison to days of wearing trays and gradual whitening makes it the perfect choice for the busy individual. The Zoom! Whitening System is simple and painless. It begins with short preparations to isolate your lips and gums. The Zoom! Clinician then applies the proprietary Zoom! Whitening Gel, which is activated by a specially designed light. Teeth typically become at least six to ten shades whiter, sometimes more. A five-minute fluoride treatment completes the procedure. You'll be amazed with the results. In most cases, teeth get even whiter the first few days after the procedure. For more details, click here.

Partials
Partials are made to fit either the upper or lower jaw and the partial is designed to replace any and all missing teeth in the affected jaw. It is very important to keep the partial and the supporting natural teeth very clean to prevent tooth decay and gum problems from occurring beneath the partial denture. We also offer partial and denture repairs, often while you wait.

Sedation
At Berger Dental Group, we are equipped to handle a variety of sedation techniques, as we know patients are apprehensive about receiving dental care. We offer oral sedation, inhalation sedation, and Dr. Robert Berger is certified in IV sedation, which completely relaxes even the most anxious patient. Oral and IV sedation patients need to receive specific instructions in advance.

Extractions
A tooth that is very decayed or damaged or loose because of gum disease may have to be extracted (taken out of your mouth). Children's teeth are sometimes taken out for 'orthodontic' reasons to help the new or remaining teeth grow regularly or without being crowded. Having a tooth taken out can end pain and infection and can sometimes be the only way to keep your mouth healthy. Let us help.

Dental Implants
Dr. Robert Berger has surgically placed and restored implants since 1989 and is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology. Our patients say it's like having their natural teeth again! Dental Implants can be used to replace one or many missing teeth. They look so much like natural teeth that only a dentist can tell the difference. They provide a stable biting and chewing surface because they are supported just exactly like your teeth. Implants become firmly embedded in place providing a chewing surface as secure as your teeth. Implants are also a remarkable aid in securing and minimizing the bulk of a denture. Many patients can leave with the tooth replaced on the day of surgery. To determine if you are a good candidate for the implant process, please call for an exam.

Endodontic Therapy
Drs. Robert and Marc Berger understand many patients are anxious about root canal therapy. Endodontic Therapy is surprisingly comfortable and relieves the pain that caused you to need a root canal.

Years ago a tooth with a diseased or injured nerve and blood supply (known as "pulp") was removed. Today dentists can save your tooth with a procedure called Root Canal Therapy. Treatment often involves one or more visits. The diseased pulp is removed, the pulp chamber and root system are cleaned and then filled, sealing the end of the root. The final step involves placing a crown or filling on the tooth to strengthen and protect the tooth structure and seal the root canal systems from the top of the tooth.

Endodontic therapy saves teeth that otherwise need to be extracted. We use the latest endodontic innovations to ensure your comfort and promote success. Relax, you're in good hands. Our goal is to help you keep your natural teeth for a lifetime.

CEREC
CEREC is an innovative machine dentists use to manufacture tooth restorations, like crowns (caps) and veneers. It's an acronym, which stands for Chairside, Economical Restorations of Esthetic Ceramic. Chairside means the dentist can provide the treatment (crown, veneer, etc.) in one patient visit and Ceramic refers to the final product - a non-metallic restoration that is bonded to the existing or remaining tooth structure. As such, CEREC restorations are extremely durable and natural looking. For more details, click here.
