On Saturday January 24, 2009, Midnite Oil Racing Fuels sponsored the biggest race ever to be held at the famous Boyd's Speedway just outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee. With a winner's purse of $5000 up for grabs for the super late model winner, and increased payout across all classes, over one hundred cars signed in for the opportunity to compete. Despite cold temperatures, both the pits and the stands were packed, as competitiors from 10 states were represented.
When the dust settled, Ray Cook the "Tarheel Tiger" bested the field of super late models to take the checkered flag, earning the $5000 winners purse along with two drums of Midnite Oil Racing Fuel. Ray is on quite a roll in 2009, as he also won the Ice Bowl in Talladega, Alabama earlier in the month. Congratulations to Ray and his team!
Other big winners in other classes were:
Billy Mayo Crate Class Winner
Mark Rosner Steel-head Late Model Winner
Dewayne Wilson A-Hobby Winner
All class winners, as well as late model dash winner Rick Rogers also took home drums of Midnite Oil Racing Fuel. Congratulations to all, and thank you for coming out and supporting Boyd's Speedway, and Midnite Oil Racing Fuel!
