- Loves living in the country with her husband, 2 horses and 5 cats. Science fiction, old movies, sewing and gardening are some of her pastimes.

- Started doing part-time relief work at Bel-Aire Veterinary Hospital in 2003, as well as other hospitals, including emergency at Carolina Veterinary Specialists
- Excellent surgical and diagnostic skills with a great bedside manner
- Does volunteer work for Feral Cat Adoption and Spay Neuter, ARF, and FFF
- Recently started triathalon training
- She enjoys cooking, running, biking, and gardening. She lives with her 7 cats and 1 iguana.
