A Letter From Our Customer:

I first became aware of the product "Calbase" in 1998. An exploration company approached us about drilling on Rockefeller Refuge in coastal southwest Louisiana. They needed to use a portion of Price Lake Road on our western boundary for access. Concerned about damage to the narrow shell road we asked that they shoot elevations before boarding the road and Calbase instead of the customary boards. After being convinced of the apparent safety of the material to the environment, we permitted the company to lay 7,500 feet of the road from Highway 82. The transport of the drilling equipment had no adverse effect on the road.

Recently we improved two roads on the Refuge with Calbase. In May 1999, we permatized 3,500 feet of road for access to Management Unit One and in July 2000, we widened the 7,500 feet of the road originally overlaid on Price Lake Road and permatized an additional 2,300 feet.

After two and a half years, I am satisfied with the product in our applications. I do appreciate the fact it must be applied with proper equipment and personnel experienced in its application.
