The law firm of Ainley, Hoover, Clark & Hoover, PLLC began in early 1992 with the association of Michael L. Ainley of Paris, Tennessee and Vicki H. Hoover at the Nashville School of Law. Their friendship turned into a law partnership and within a year of forming the law partnership, Mike and Vicki decided to form a personal partnership and were married May 4, 1993.
Michael L. Ainley - Attorney and Partner
Michael L. "Mike" Ainley is the founder, and Managing Partner for the firm. His area of practice includes Personal Injury, Criminal Defense of Felony and Misdemeanor cases, with emphasis on alcohol and drug related offences, Divorce and Child Custody as well as Civil Litigation. Mike's aggressive style and determination to succeed, makes him one of the most sought after lawyers in the area. He grew up on a small farm near Palmersville, Tennessee where he learned the value of hard work, and how to be resourceful. Mike says, "Our law firm is built on the premise of service. Vicki H. Hoover - Attorney and Partner
Ms. Hoover's legal prowess is well known throughout Northwest Tennessee. Her dynamic and persuasive speaking ability has lead to a tremendous winning experience in trial litigation. Vicki's successful courtroom demeanor and professionalism is exhibited in her many victories including a 2.2 million dollar jury verdict in a small rural Tennessee Town.
She is a lawyer that you can depend on to represent you zealously whether she is in the court room or in a settlement conference. You will find her knowledge of the law, her preparation of your case and her negotiation skills are second to none. Your will be very glad she is setting beside you rather than facing you from the other side of the table.
Vicki Hoover is a particular advocate for Family Law. She has earned much respect for her unique negotiating standards. Her parenting recommendations in family law area have led to numerous successful settlements in the area of divorce and custody. She is pleasant to work with, but is well known as a tough advocate for opposing counsel.
She has proven herself to be a worthy advocate in the areas of Domestic Relations, Divorce, Custody, Criminal Defense, and Civil Defense. Vicki's medical background prior to becoming a lawyer has been a tremendous asset in pursuing larger settlements for her Personal Injury cases.
Ms. Hoover received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Nashville School of Law in 1991. In addition, she holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Memphis. She is Certified rule 31 Family Dispute Mediator and also currently sits as Municipal Judge in Henry, Tennessee and Big Sandy, Tennessee.
Vicki Hoover is married to her law partner, Michael Ainley and they reside in Paris, Tennessee. She is a devoted mother to Angela Hoover, who is a practicing attorney and currently manages the firm's law office in Franklin.
Anthony “Andy” L. Clark - Attorney and Partner
In 2001, the firm hired Anthony L. Clark. Andy came to the firm after having served in the United States Marine Corps from 1984-1990. He was a Detective with the Clarksville Police Department from 1991-1995, and served as a Special Agent to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation from 1995-1998, when he accepted the position of Chief Deputy with the Henry County Sheriff’s Department and served in that capacity from 1998-2000. Andy brings enormous experience to Criminal Defense and he has proven himself one of the best Criminal Defense Lawyers in West and Middle Tennessee. Andy devotes most of his time to Criminal Defense, but also works in Personal Injury, Domestic and Juvenile Law. Recognizing his talents, the firm made him a full partner in 2003.
Angela R. Hoover - Attorney and Partner
In January of 2005, the partnership decided to expand its services and opened an office at 204 Fourth Avenue South in Franklin, Tennessee. The partnership then announced Angela R. Hoover would join the partnership as a full partner effective February 1, 2005. Angela works primarily in the Franklin, Tennessee office, but is available for appointments in Paris as well. She focuses her practice in Personal Injury, Criminal, and Family Law, but accepts cases in other areas as well.
Angela is a 1997 graduate of Franklin High School where she was active in the mock trial program, and was a nationally ranked debate champion. She received her Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. While in college, Angela served as President of her sorority, a UT Ambassador, and student lobbyist. Angela earned her law degree from the Cecil B. Humphrey’s Law School in Memphis. While in law school she was Student Bar Association Executive Director and active as an Attorney on the Moot Court team.
Beth F. Belew - Attorney
Continuing to grow, the firm recruited Beth F. Belew to the practice in February of 2005. Beth is a Henry County native, and graduated from Henry County High. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Martin, and her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Nashville School of Law. She is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Tennessee and all lower appellate and trial courts. She is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee. Beth concentrates her practice in Workers' Compensation, Personal Injury, Social Security Disability, Family and Juvenile Law, but is available for all areas of private practice.
Chad A. Cox - Attorney
The newest member of the firm is Chad A. Cox. He joined the firm in November of 2009. A 1992 graduate of Henry County High School, Chad received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1998 from Murray State University. In May of 2009 he received his Juris Doctorate from Nashville School of Law.
Chad has a vast work experience. He has been employed by the Tennessee Department of Corrections, Paris Police Department and served 8 years as a Trooper with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, where he was also certified as a Traffic Crash Reconstructionist. As an attorney Chad dedicates his time to the areas of Criminal Defense and Family Law, but is also available to discuss other legal concerns one may have.
Chad and his wife Maria, an Assistant Principal at Harrelson School, are the proud parents of daughter Avery and son Rush.
