Meet Our Staff
Dr. Chukwuma Ukata
Dr. Ukata is a 1996 graduate of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC, with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Zoology. After completing his undergraduate degree, Dr. Ukata went on to attend New York College of Podiatric Medicine (the Pioneer in Podiatric Medical education) where he obtained a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree. After graduating from New York College of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Ukata completed an intensive podiatric and surgical residency program at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center (an affiliate of Weil-Cornell University system) in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Ukata has practiced alongside both internal medicine and orthopedic surgery groups in Sampson County since finishing his residency in 2004. Dr. Ukata brings a wealth of experience to Garner and Kenansville, NC.
Dr. Ukata is an active associate in the following organizations:
- American Board of Podiatric Surgeons
- American Podiatric Medical Association
- North Carolina Foot and Ankle Society
Dr. Ukata is also affiliated with the Duplin General Hospital in Kenansville, NC.
Georgia Howard, Office Manager
Ms. Howard obtained an Associate's Degree in Art from Sampson Community College. During her time at Sampson Community College Ms. Howard was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She also attended both Meredith College and East Carolina University.
Ms. Howard has always had a passion for helping others. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and working out in the gym. Her goal is to incorporate health and wellness both in the office and in her daily life.
Wendy Mazariegos
Ms. Mazariegos is a bilingual medical assistant/receptionist fluent in English and Spanish. She is originally from Mazatenango, Guatamala. She enjoys spending time with her family and helping others.
